Krebsbach Raymond "Ray" (20 Dec 1923 - 22 July 2006)

Raymond "Ray" Krebsbach, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, began his eternal life journey on July 22, 2006.

Remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, and gift of gab, Ray enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards and board games, deer hunting, fishing, playing the Beer Barrel Polka on the organ and wine making.

For sixty years Ray was wed to his bride Melanie Kaiser.

Together they raised their children, Sandra (Richard) Gawrylski of Gresham, Pat (Al) Ridderbusch of Colby, Dan (Diane) Krebsbach of Appleton, Dale (Linda) Krebsbach of Mosinee, Keith (Sherri) Krebsbach of Colby, Roger (Laurie) Krebsbach of Colby, Mary (Kevin) Lieders of Colby, Sue (Jerry) Grunow of Wausau, Kevin (Beth) Krebsbach of Edgar, Dawn (Jack) Wood of Weston, Renee (Dave) Phillips of Marathon, and Jill (Joe) Goodwin of Spencer.

Grandpa enjoyed being with his 32 grandchildren; five step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren.

Further surviving are one brother, Urban Krebsbach of Edgar; and one sister, Jeanette Guralski of Athens.

During his 82 year life journey, Ray was busy farming, being a field man for Associated Milk Producers Inc., and subbing for the U.S. Postal Service.

He was an active member of St. Mary’s Parish and Knights of Columbus serving as treasurer for 25 years.

Welcoming Ray into eternal life was his son, Darrell; his brothers, Alfred and Edmund Krebsbach; and his sisters, Loretta Ploederl and Mildred Wilichowski.

In honor of Ray’s memory donations will be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, and the Parkinson’s Disease Association.

The Mass of Christian Burial was held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby.

Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Monsignor John Malik officiated.

Pallbearers were Scott Ridderbusch, Gregory Gawryleski, Nathan Lieders, Andrew Lieders, Trenton Lieders, Joseph Krebsbach and Drew Grunow.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
