Ackerman, Edward C. (22 June 1859 - 18 Aug. 1938)
Edward C. Ackerman was born in Sheboygan, Wis., June 22, 1859, and died August 18, aged 79 years. He was married to Emma Scheel on June 2, 1883, at Sheboygan, then moved to Granton, Clark County, where they lived 35 years. There were born to them seven daughters and three sons. They moved to Portland, Ore., in 1919, where he worked 12 years for the Western Cooperage. He is survived by his wife, Emma Ackerman, and daughters, Clara (Mrs. Herman Roehl), Chili, Ruth (Mrs. Herman Ketel) Portland; Lillie, (Mrs. Gay Eilers) Chicago; Nora (Mrs. Alvin Pischer) Portland; Ella (Mrs. Berger Arnbom) Portland; and one son, Clarence Ackerman of California.
