Janet Zager
OWEN -- Janet Zager, 67, Owen, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, at her COHO apartment in Thorp, where she had resided the past three months.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept., 1, 2006, at the Maurina Funeral Home in Owen, Wis. Inurnment will be in Abbotsford Public Cemetery.
Janet M. Zager was born Sept. 2, 1940, in the town of Little Black, rural Stetsonville, to Floyd and Lorraine Laper. Janet and Duane Zager were united in marriage on June 25, 1960. They later divorced.
A homemaker, Janet at one time was employed at the O-W elementary school as a teacher's assistant, a line worker for Tombstone Pizza in Medford, in the laundry department of Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, and for three years before her illness for the Marshfield News-Herald as a carrier.
Survivors include her children, Richard Zager, Owen, twins Susan Zager, Owen, and Sandra Zager, Dorchester, and Heidi Zager, Green Bay; four brothers, Kenny (Joanne) Laper, Bethalto, Ill., Norman Laper and Kevin Laper, both of Tomah, and Keith Laper, Green Bay; two sisters, Shirley (Butch) King, Neillsville, and Kathy (Vern) Dukehart, Marshfield; and two grandchildren.
