Choates, Eliza A. (MAR 1838 - 19 DEC 1930)

Mrs. Eliza Ann Choates died at the home of her son at Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), on Friday morning of last week, following an illness of very short duration. She was ninety-two years and seven months of age, the cause of death being pneumonia. Mrs. Choates came to Withee with her son, from Clark, where they had resided for the past ten years, being residents of that village for only a short period of time.

Funeral services were held at the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Choates, Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, the Rev. W.P. Powell, pastor of the Congregational Church, Owen, officiating.

Following the services at the home the body was taken to Colby, where it was laid to rest in the family lot in the Colby Cemetery.
