The body of William R. Bufton, bachelor, residing three miles northwest of the village of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) in the town of Hixon, was found lying on the floor of his home, Saturday morning by neighbors who had called. In recent years he had served as a town officer.
Funeral services were conducted from the Congregational Church, on Sunday afternoon, Rev. W.P. Powell officiating. The body was shipped that evening to Silver Lake, Wis., for burial.
Mr. Bufton is survived by his mother, who lives at Kenosha, and four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Swanson, Manmoth, Ore., Rose, Kenosha, Alice, Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Elsie Hammerstrom, Billings, Mont., and three brothers, Ray, Silver Lake, and Roy of Wilmot, and Clyde of Kenosha, Wis. His father and one brother preceded him in death several years ago.
