Pekny, Anna (Marriage - 13 Oct. 1938)
At 10:30 Thursday morning, October 13, Miss Anna Pekny, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pekny and Forest Davis, were united in marriage at the Presbyterian parsonage at Crown Point, Indiana, Rev. S. H. Adkins officiating.
The couple was attended by Miss Mildred Lubeke and Mr. W. Leady.
The bride was dressed in wine alpaca with wine accessories and her attendant in pale blue with wine accessories. Both wore shoulder corsages.
After dinner the bride and groom left for Chili, for a few days visit with home folks.
A reception was given them at the home of the bride’s parents Friday evening. The home was beautifully decorated with fall flowers, white wedding bells and paper streamers. Those present at the reception were Mr. and Mrs. Lessie Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Kempin, Mrs. Earl Bashford, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Arbolovsky and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hopp.
These young people grew to maturity in this neighborhood and are well qualified to the position they are now taking in life. Both have been employed in Gary, Indiana, for several years and have taken up their residence there. Their many friends wish them years of happiness.
