Johnson, Mrs. Charles (? - 17 Jun 1931)

The death of Mrs. Chas. Johnson occurred on Wednesday of last week at the Luther Hospital, Eau Claire. She had been ill for some time and underwent an operation at the hospital last week.

Deceased had lived for more than 20 years on a farm 2 ½ miles east of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.). She was married in Sweden in 1889 and came to America in 1891. Together with her husband she spent several years in Illinois and moved to Owen in 1910.

Surviving are her husband, a son, Edwin, and three grandchildren.

The funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Norwegian Lutheran Church at Curtiss, with burial in the parish cemetery. Rev. W.L. Anderson officiated. Besides being a member of the Lutheran church, Mrs. Johnson was also a member of the Ladies aid society. She was a kind and loving mother and was held in the highest esteem by a large circle of friends.
