Jens, Pearl (27 FEB 1932)
A pretty home wedding was solemnized Saturday evening, February 27, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jens, at Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), when their daughter Pearl was united in marriage to Mr. Lester Meyer of Withee.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. M.C. Goetch, pastor of the German Lutheran Church of Green Grove, with only immediate relatives of the contracting parties being present. The young couple were attended by Miss Violet Jens, sister of the bride, and Mr. Vernon Rigg of Withee, a close friend of the groom.
Following the ceremony the bridal party went to Abbotsford where a bounteous wedding supper was served at the Rose Garden Café, which is owned and operated by the Bride’s parents.
Miss Jens for the past two years has been assisting her parents with the work in their restaurant and in her duties has won for herself a host of friends who will wish her happiness in her married life.
Mr. Meyer for the past five years has been employed in the Jensen Bros. drug store in this city, and is one of the promising young men of the city, having many friends, all of whom wish for his continued success.
Mr. and Mrs. Meyer left Saturday evening following their supper, for a several days motor trip through the southern part of the state, visiting with friends at Milwaukee and Madison. They will make their home in Curtiss, Wis.
