Vera Irene Tell

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Vera Irene Tell, 93, of Vancouver, Wash., formerly of Greenwood, died Aug. 18, 2006, in Vancouver.

Visitation was at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, with a memorial service at 10 a.m., at Grace Lutheran Church in Vancouver.

She was born Aug. 15, 1913, on the dairy farm to Adolph and Julia Turnquist. She worked at Pullman Palace Car Co. and Union Oil for many years. She married Paul K. Tell, and he preceded her in death. Vera had lived in Greenwood, Loyal, Chicago, Palatine, and Woodstock, Ill., and Vancouver, Wash.

She is survived by her children, William "Bill" (Cathy) Tell and Paula (Joe) Burgher; two grandchildren; and sisters, Helen (Eric) Axelson and Verdelle (Jack) Felix.
