Bizjak, Agnes (Marriage - 5 Nov. 1938)
An early November nuptial service, performed at the West Side Emmanuel Reformed church Saturday, November 5, at 2 p.m. united in marriage Miss Agnes Bizjak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Bizjak of Willard and Albert Wehrman, son of Otto Wehrman, Greenwood.
The Rev. P. H. Franzmeier officiated. The bride wore a white satin gown and veil and carried a bouquet of roses and baby chrysanthemums. Miss Marion Wehrman, sister of the groom, acted as maid of honor and was attired in a peach colored dress and wore a headband of wine colored roses. Miss Sophie Bizjak, sister of the bride, wore a blue dress and wine colored head band. Both carried bouquets of chrysanthemums. The groom was attended by Alvin Dergance and Alvin Wehrman (his brother). They all wore dark suits. Only immediate relatives and friends attended the ceremony. A supper was served at the home of the bride’s parents to 100 guests.
The home was decorated in blue, peach, and white. A large crowd attended the wedding dance at the Silver Dome that evening.
Out-of-town guests were the Misses Ida and Alma Wehrman, Gary Wruck and Charles Klug of Milwaukee.
They will make their home in Greenwood, where the groom is engaged in farming.
