Bostwick, Elsie (2 Aug. 1900 - 9 Dec. 1938)
Mrs. Jason Bostwick, 38, passed away Friday, December 9, at midnight at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she had undergone on operation earlier in the week, being taken to the hospital Sunday previous. Mrs. Bostwick (Elsie Berthold) was born August 2, 1900 in Granton. From Granton she came with her parents to Tioga, where she was married December 24, 1919. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Bostwick lived west of Loyal for several years.
Surviving are her husband four children, Gladys, Beatrice, Delorus and Donald, all at home. Her mother, Louise Berthold, one sister, Mrs. Harvey Grap, and four brothers, Morris, Walter, Harry and Eddie. Her father, Herman Berthold, died 11 years ago, and one brother Osvin passed away eight years ago.
Funeral services were held last Tuesday afternoon at Greenwood at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. C. O. Gaylord, the singers also being from Greenwood. A short service was held at the home of her mother.
