Moore, Robert L. (October 17, 1945 - May 5, 2005)

Robert L. Moore, age 59, of Hatfield, died on Thursday, May 5, 2005, at the University Hospital in Madison, following complications from liver transplant surgery.

Robert Moore was born on October 17, 1945 in Lake Holcombe, WI, the son of Vern R. and Christina E. (Henning) Moore. He attended school in Lake Holcombe and graduated from college in Eau Claire. Bob went on to earn his Masters Degree at Stevens Point and then taught social studies at Neillsville High School from 1968 to 2001. He was united in marriage to Luci Braden on June 3, 1967. They raised three children, Lisa (Potter), Lee (deceased in 1994) and Ryan. Robert enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially bow-hunting. But, his true love in life, were his grandchildren and spending time with them was more important than anything else.

Bob is survived by his wife, Luci; two children, Lisa (Jim) Potter, of Elk Mound; Ryan Moore, of Marshfield, four grand-children; and one sister, Mary West, of Lake Zurich, IL.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lee R. Moore; his parents; and two brothers, Merle and Bill Moore.

Memorial Services for Robert M. Moore were held Sunday, May 8, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis. Pastor Douglas Bjerke officiated.

Honorary Casket Bearers were; Jeff Moore, Rick Moore, Larry Osegard, Herman Seebandt.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Robert’s family for his grandchildren’s education fund.

The Gesche Funeral Home assisted Robert’s family with funeral arrangements.
