Phillip Kissinger, age 86 years, 11 months, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emma Wegner, in this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), Friday morning, June 17, at about 11 o’clock. Mr. Kissinger came here three weeks ago from Loyal for medical treatment for cancer. He was born July 1, 1846 at Buffalo, N.Y., and at the age of twenty-one years located in Clark County, Wis., where he has since resided. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at two o’clock from the Veefkind church and burial took place in the Spencer Cemetery.
He leaves to mourn, three daughters, Mrs. Hiram Proctor and Mrs. Emma Wegner, Owen; and Mrs. A.A. Youman, Loyal, and two sons, Jake and Phillip Kissinger of Spokeville, besides one brother, Jacob of Elkhart Lake, and 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Those from away attending the funeral were Jacob Kissinger, and Mrs. Sinner, Elkhart Lake; Mrs. Emma Kissinger and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Koebel of Plymouth; Mr. and Mrs. John Koebel and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nichols, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bender, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Youman and family of Loyal
