Kidd, Clara (1862? - 13 Jan. 1939)
The death of Mrs. Clara Bell Kidd, 77, former Clark County resident, was told by Lydia Slocomb, secretary of the Clark County, Wisconsin, Society of Southern California, in her most recent news notes concerning activities of former county residents on the west coast:
Mrs. Clara Bell Kidd, formerly of Granton, passed away January 13, 1939, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul Walthuis, at Long Beach, Cal., at the age of 77.
Mr. and Mrs. Kidd came to California many years ago, settling at Ocean Park, where Mr. Kidd died. Friends of the Kidds will remembered they lived at Windfall Corners, near Granton, on what is now known as the Ike Higgins farm.
Mrs. Kidd was a very happy, jolly woman and will be greatly missed by her many friends. Funeral services were held January 17 in Long Beach, with interment in the Ocean Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Kidd leaves her daughter, Mrs. Winifred Mellen Walthuis, with whom she lived, and two sons.
