Mr. and Mrs. John Greub were at Monroe to attend the marriage Tuesday afternoon of their son William. The wedding was the happy culmination of a romance starting while the groom was employed in Monticello. The Monroe Evening Times of Tuesday says:
"The marriage of Miss Clara Legler, daughter of Mrs. Geo. Legler, and William Greub, was solemnized at 3 o’clock this afternoon in the home of the bride’s mother. Rev. P.A. Schub read the single ring service in the presence of relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Greub were unattended.
"The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Greub of Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.). He formerly resided in Monticello, where he worked as a garage mechanic the past three years. He is now in partnership with Herman Legler in the auto repair business in the Babler and Bloom building.
"A three course dinner was served to the immediate family and a few friends at 5 o’clock this afternoon. Out of town guests present were Mrs. Barbara Kneubuehl and Fred Grueb, Albany; Mr. and Mrs. John Greub, Humbird, Mr. and Mrs. Greub will reside on West Avenue."
