Willman, Florence (29 SEP 1926)
Stealing away quietly Wednesday forenoon to that Gretna Green for all west central Wisconsin, Winona, Mr. Howard C. Bigelow and Miss Florence Willman were joined in the bonds of wedlock. The ceremony was performed at 2:00 p.m., at the Methodist Church, its pastor, Rev. Samuel O. Parish, officiating. The bridesmaid was Miss Birdine Mattson, and groomsman was Mr. Chester A. Willman. Miss Agnes Johnson, a cousin of the bride, also accompanied the wedding party to Winona. Returning about eight o’clock in the evening, they partook of a wedding supper prepared by the bride’s mother. About forty relatives and friends, including the parents of the groom from near Warrens were present.
The groom of this happy occasion has lived in this vicinity for the past three years, being employed by E.J. Fryer on the farm, where he will take his bride ere long to reside. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Willman, who has grown to accomplished young womanhood in our midst. She is a graduate of the local high school, an excellent housekeeper, and will prove an ideal helpmate to the young man who has won her heart and hand.
A large number of young friends in the community extend their best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Bigelow for a long, happy and prosperous married life.
