Leon "Duke" W. Pawlak, age 80, of Thorp, died on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at his home.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 15, 2003 at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp, with Father John Puerner officiating and burial followed in Old St. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joe Jaskot, Don Pawlak, John Jaskot, Jason Jaskot, Duane Jaskot and Michael Troyer.

Visitation was held at Thorp Funeral Home on Sunday, December 14, 2003 from 4-8 p.m., with a 7:00 Rosary service and a 7:30 p.m. Loyal Order of Moose service.
