NEILLSVILLE -- Helen Louise Tews, age 96, of Neillsville, died Tuesday, Sept, 26, 2006, at the Memorial Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 29, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville, Wis. Interment will be in Neillsville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to service time Friday at the church.

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Helen's family with arrangements.

Helen was born on Dec. 9, 1909, in Neillsville to Friedrich and Barbara (Brunner) Eggimann. She married Arthur Tews on Sept. 25, 1933, in Waukegan, Ill., and he preceded her in death.

She took a job at Auto-Test working as a timing light repairperson. She worked there for many years and retired at the age of 65.

She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Marg and Janice Suckow, both of Neillsville, and Luann (Dale) Haunschild of Hudson; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
