Lipkie, Max (29 Jan. 1893 - 20 April 1939)

Funeral services for Max Lipkie, 46, were held Saturday afternoon at the Schiller Funeral Home, Rev. Wilson Bixler officiating.

Mr. Lipkie was born January 29, 1893, in the town of Levis to Karl and Anna Lipkie and passed away Thursday afternoon after a brief illness with pneumonia. He remained on the home farm until seven years ago when he went to the John Ehlers farm to work. He was unmarried and lived an unusually quiet, though industrious life.

He is survived by two sisters and one brother; Emma, Mrs. Robert Bruss, Neillsville; Lena, Mrs. Alfred Schnabel, town of Grant; and Henry Lipkie, Neillsville, Wis. The parents and two sisters are deceased.

Pallbearers were: Fred Sears, William Rath, Victor Horton, Roy Richmond, Frank Neubecker and Herman Meier. Interment took place in the Neillsville Cemetery.
