Glenn J. LeZotte, 102, died at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006. Private funeral services were held at the Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, On Sunday, Sept. 3, with Rev. Paul Nelson officiating. Burial followed in the Neillsville Cemetery. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Bruce LaZotte, Paul LaZotte, Todd Slaby, Jason Slaby, Kirby Fredericks, and Brad Schumacher.

Glenn Joseph LeZotte was born on Oct. 20, 1903, in Neillsville, on the family farm to Anthony and Lydia (Shupe) LaZotte. He attended school in the Neillsville area. He married Eva A. Habrel on Oct. 15, 1925, in Winona, Minn. He worked for the Chicago Northwest Railroad and was a foreman on their crew. In 1946, he left the railroad and went to work for Nelson Muffler Corporation in their Neillsville plant. He was there for 23 years until he retired in 1969 as a plant shop foreman. They moved to Loyal and then moved to Marshfield to be near his daughter. His wife passed away on July 3, 2004, and he continued to reside with his daughter until a year ago when he moved to the Marshfield Care Center. He was an avid trout fisherman and liked to hunt. He was a former member of the Free Methodist Church, Loyal.

Survivors include his children: Glenn Jr. (Shirley) LaZotte, Stoughton, and Lorraine (Harry) Francis, Marshfield; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 19 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
