Hi,
The Lutheran minister in the photo is Frederick Thrun. He was married to my great grandmother's sister and lived in or around Neilsville. This would be a confirmation photo as I have one at home of a different year. I'm sorry I can't give you an exact year but if you are interested I can try to dig up a few more details such as the name of the church.
