Milan Bartz, age 81, of Cudahy, WI died Sunday, September 17, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee.
Milan Robert Bartz was born on June 16, 1925 in the Town of Lincoln, Wood County, WI, the son of Robert and Mildred (Hodges) Bartz. He attended Lone Elm Grade School in Wood County and Forestside Grade School near Chili. After finishing his schooling, he worked on the Hake farm in the area. Milan then worked in a defense plant in Fort Atkinson, WI near the end of World War II. Later, he moved back to the Neillsville area and worked for Al Mashin delivering milk. He was united in marriage to Clara Cram on June 14, 1948 in Waukegan, IL. Shortly after marriage they moved to Milwaukee where Milan worked for the Wrought Washer Co. for many years, retiring in 1992.
In his spare time, Milan especially enjoyed fishing and also hunting.
He is survived by one son, Jerry, of Cudahy; two sisters, Norma (Len Kurtz) Rizner, of Neillsville and Evelyn (Gene) Jepsen, of Neillsville; along with many nieces and nephews.
Milan was preceded in death by his wife, Clara; his parents; two brothers, Alvin and Everett; and three sisters, Fern, Dorothy and Arlene.
Funeral Services for Milan were held Friday, September 22, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis. Pastor Dong Su Lee officiated. Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
The Gesche Funeral Home assisted Milan’s family with funeral arrangement.
