Pettet, Lela Belle (Marriage - 6 May1903)
The Ferguson-Pettet Nuptials
At the M. E. Parsonage at Marshfield at 8 o’clock a. m. on Wednesday May sixth 1903 occurred the marriage of two of Unity’s most popular young people, Mr. Bryon J. Ferguson to Miss Lela Belle Pettet, the Rev. McKinney officiating. Altho (although) the event was expected to occur at some date in the near future, the announcements were a complete surprise to many of their intimate friends.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Pettet and is one of the most popular and accomplished young ladies of the village where she has resided all her life.
The groom is the junior member of the hardware firm of Kohlhepp & Ferguson and during time he has resided here, has made many friendswho congratulate him upon winning the prize he has secured.
They were accompanied to Marshfield by Marshall and Lulu, brother and sisiter (sister) of the bride and after the ceremony took the morning train for Milwaukee. They will visit Racine, Hartford, Appleton, and towns in southern Wisconsin before returning home.
The kindest wishes of their many friends accompany them.
