Smith, Kate L. (Marriage - 23 Feb. 1907)
Edward Purkis Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Purkis, prominent farmers of the town of Unity, and Miss Kate L. Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Smith of the town of Hull were united in marriage Saturday, Feb 23rd by Justice R. N. Larner at Wausau.
Arrangements had been made to have (the) ceremony performed at home, but as Ed, is employed by the W. C. R. at Kolse and was able to get but a few days leave of absence, they were compelled to alter their plans, hence they secured a special permit from Judge Miller and had the knot tied while in Wausau.
The young people will make their home at Kolse for the present. They both have a lot of friends in Unity and vicinity who extend congratulations.
