Jordan, Henry A. (March 16, 1942 - October 11, 2006)

Henry A. Jordan, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa.

Henry was born March 16, 1942 to the late Frederick and Catherine (nee Schober) Jordan in Caledonia, where he was raised. After his schooling, Henry moved to Neillsville and then entered the military. After serving in the U. S. Army for eight years, he married Darceal Tackes on June 17, 1967 at St. Peter’s Parish is Slinger.

Henry worked at the Gehl Co. for 16 years and then at Batzler Trucking for 24 years. He was a member of the Wisconsin Retirees Camping Group and enjoyed traveling with his family and friends. He loved playing sheepshead, taking care of his yard and woodworking. Above all, Henry loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Henry is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Darceal; three daughters, Bernadine (Louis) Walters, of Michigan; Charlene (Mike) Westphal, of West Bend; and Arless Jordan, of Eden; a son, Elwin (girlfriend Annette Knaak), of Fond du Lac; grandchildren, Russell and Nigel Jordan, Eric and Jenny Westphal, Patience, Matthew and Joshua McDonald, John Wright and Hannah Jordan; brothers, Paul (Collette) Jordan, of Granton and Frederick (Joyce) Jordan, of Texas; a sister, Kathy Waterhouse, of Lincoln, NE; sisters-in-law, Nancy Jordan, of Wisconsin Rapids; Gladys Ramel, of Kewaskum; Adeline Flasch, of West Bend; Darleen Rochwite, of Campbellsport; Gladys Tackes, of Kewaskum and Christa Tackes, of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Willard (Bertha) Tackes, of Newburg; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Dale; a brother, August Jordan; a sister-in-law; and eight brothers-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, October 16, 2006, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 8877 Forest View Road, Kewaskum. Father Robert J. Artmann officiated.

Interment was in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Slinger.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Synergy Health St. Joseph’s Hospital of West Bend and Froedtert Memorial for the special care they gave to Henry.
