Miller, Hattie M. (12 JUN 1928)

The marriage of Mr. Jack J. Baumgartner and Miss Hattie M. Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Miller, was solemnized at high noon on Tuesday, June 12, 1928, at the East Division Street Methodist Church, Fond du Lac. The Reverend Herbert Jackson Root performed the double ring ceremony.

Attending the bride was her sister, Miss Fayme M. Miller, and Mr. Ernest E. Holmberg attended the groom.

The bride was attired in a gown of white satin and lace, set with rhinestones and pearls. She wore a white bridal veil and carried a bridal bouquet of pink tea roses and white sweet peas. The groom was attired in formal black. The bridesmaid was gowned in ponder blue georgette set with rhinestones and carried a bouquet of rose carnations.

Following the ceremony the wedding party of eight partook of a four-course dinner at the Hotel Retlaw, Fond du Lac. Friends and relatives of the bridal party were the Misses Emma and Marie Baumgartner, Clarice Turner, and Orilla Meilahn, of Ripon.

The young couple left Tuesday evening for Milwaukee, after which they will tour northern Wisconsin.

The bride is a graduate of Ripon College and has been teaching in the high school at Fennimore the past two years. The groom has been elevator manager for S.H. Van Gorden & Son the past year. The young couple is well known in our community (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.), and a host of relatives and friends unite in wishing them a life time of happiness.
