Gritzmacher, Margarett (22 JUN 1929)
A pretty little wedding was solemnized Saturday, June 22nd, 1929 at three o’clock p.m. at Wausau, Wis., when Miss Margarett Gritzmacher and Mr. Laurence Staves were united in marriage at the home of the bride, by Rev. Wm. Spiegel of St. Stephen’s Church. The bride wore yellow georgette and carried roses and sweet peas. She was attended by her sister, Irene, who wore green georgette and a corsage of sweet peas. The groom was attended by the bride’s brother.
Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to the thirty guests by the bride’s mother, Mrs. Emily Gritzmacher.
The happy couple left Sunday night for their future home at 10 35 Brady St., Davenport, Ia.
Miss Gritzmacher is a charming young woman and loved by her many young friends in Wausau, where she has grown to young womanhood.
Laurence is very well known and respected by everyone in Humbird and vicinity (Clark Co., Wis.), having lived on the farm near here, and graduating from out high school with honors in debating ability, being on the team which won state championship for its school. He is now assistant manager in an F.W. Woolworth Co. store in Davenport, Ia.
His many friends extend hearty congratulations and wish for him and his wife, much happiness and success.
