Giebel, Gladys (24 SEP 1929)
The marriage of Miss Gladys Giebel and Mr. Clarence L. Field took place at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Wm. Giebel, near Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.), on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 1929, at 2:00 o’clock p.m., in the presence of immediate friends. Miss Caroline Stanch of Osseo, acted as bridesmaid, and the groom was attended by Mr. Harold Berg from Junction City. An uncle of the bride, the Rev. B. Mattis, from Fall Creek, performed the wedding ceremony. Miss Della Zank, from Fairchild, played the wedding march. The rooms were beautifully decorated with autumn leaves and flowers. A two course wedding dinner was served at 6 o’clock. After which the ladies from Humbird gave the couple a serenade and a shower of many beautiful and useful presents, after which their friends gave them a charivari. The young couple left early Wednesday morning for a short honeymoon to Chippewa Falls, Loganville, Wonewoc, Junction City and Chili, expecting to return in about a week.
