The sudden death of Mrs. Wm. Helmke of Eau Pleine, which occurred Monday evening was a painful shock to the people of this community as few wre aware that she was not enjoying the best of health.

A short time ago she fell from the porch of their residence and received injuries which at that time seemed trivial but later her condition became such that physicians were called in and everything done to relieve her but Monday evening she passed away.

Mrs. Helmke was formerly Miss Ida Schute of Stratford and was a young woman possessing many excellent virtues.

The groom has the sincere sympathy of the community in the loss of his bride of only five months.

The funeral was held from the house Wednesday afternoon interment being made in the March cemetery. A large number from Unity were in attendance.
