Horvat, Lois M. (3 MAR 1948 - 10 OCT 2006)
Lois M. Horvat, 58, Sheboygan, died at her residence on Tuesday night, Oct. 10, 2006. Funeral services were held at the Wenig Funeral Home, Oostburg, on Sunday, Oct. 15. The Rev. Edwin Homer and the Rev. Kirby Anderson officiated.
Lois M. Meinhardt was born on March 3, 1948, in Greenwood, to Elmer and Esther (nee Kippenhan) Meinhardt. She graduated from Greenwood High School in 1966. She attended Carson Newman College, Kentucky Southern College, Louisville, Ky., and Truet-McConnell College, Cleveland, Ga. She studied Spanish and music performance with the emphasis in piano. She married Edward Horvat November 22, 1972. She was a self-employed herbalist for the past 15 years. She also operated a piano studio for more than 25 years. She attended Praise Fellowship and World of Grace Community Churches. She directed the choir and was accompanist while at Praise Fellowship.
Survivors include three sons, Aaron (Winnie) Horvat, Virginia Beach, VA., Benjamin Horvat, Chicago, Ill., and Christopher Horvat, Fort Jackson, S.C.; her father, Elmer Meinhardt, Pine Haven Christian Home, Sheboygan Falls; two brothers, Alan (Mary) Meinhardt, Clintonville, and Doug (Barb) Meinhardt, Wausau, and her ex-husband, Edward Horvat, Sheboygan.
