Ralph Baxter
Ralph Baxter, 82, Dorchester, died Tuesday, Oct 10, 2006, at the Clark County Health Care Center; Owen, Wis.
Memorial serviced were held Oct. 14 at the Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, Wis.
He was born July 3, 1924 in the town of Holway to William and Laura (Woodward) Baxter.
He entered the U. S. Army serving during World War II where he earned the purple heart.
Ralph married the former Adel Hemminger on Dec. 28, 1942. They farmed in the town of Mayville. He also hauled milk for the Dorchester Cheese Factory for 14 year.
He enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Pleasant Hill school Board a number of years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Adel Baxter, Dorchester; five sons, Ralph (Judy) Baxter, Fort Wayne, IN, Ronald (Judy) Baxter, Owen, Dan Baxter; Dorchester, Gary (Tammy) Baxter, Eau Claire and Jack (Alice) Baxter, Curtiss; one sister, Frances Reich, Cameron, 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Ralph was preceded in death by brothers Robert, William and Almond Baxter; sisters Mayo Fuss, Ella Leiske and Jessie Brandt.
