Rose Wilczek

Rose K. Wilczek, 91, of Thorp died Nov. 3, 2006, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Burial will follow in Old St. Hedwig's Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Thorp Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 2, 1915, in rural Thorp to Alex and Stella (Siegienski) Powszukiewicz. She married Frank J. Wilczek on Aug. 10, 1938, at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church. They farmed in the area for many years until they retired and moved to Thorp in 1979.

She is survived by her children Anton (Shirley) Wilczek, Chippewa Falls, Jerome (Theresa) Wilczek, Marshfield, Theresa (Ken) Salvack, Stantonville, Tenn., Joseph (Betty) Wilczek, Greenwood, Mary (Melvin) Lauer, Mokena, Ill., Francis (Chris) Wilczek, Lublin, Rose Marie (William) Schubert, Aurora, Colo., Henry Wilczek, Great Falls, Mont., Patrick (Elsie) Wilczek, San Antonio, Texas, William Wilczek, Thorp, Virginia (John) Conzemius, Burnsville, Minn., and James Wilczek, Stetsonville.

She is further survived by 23 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one brother, Joe Pow, Thorp; one sister, Francine Powers, Los Angeles and one sister-in-law, Sophie Koltis, Thorp.
