Haugen, Muriel B. (Marriage - 16 June 1939)
Miss Muriel B. Haugen of Neillsville, and Cecil W. Beede, of Owen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Beede, Merrillan, were united in marriage Friday, June 16, at 8 p.m. at St. Katherine’s church, Rev. Ronald E. Ortmayer, a close friend of the groom, performing the rites. The witnesses were: Miss Emelia Matkovich and James Barager.
The bride was graduated from the Neillsville high school and worked for a time at the Kearns’ drug store, later attending the Milwaukee accredited school of beauty culture. Since she completed her course, she has held positions at Chippewa Falls and Owen, Wis.
The groom is a graduated of Whitewater state teachers college. He is the commercial instructor in the Owen High School and is also employed there during the summer months. The couple will live at Owen where they began housekeeping at once.
