Boon, Dorothy (Marriage - 22 June 1939)
Miss Dorothy Boon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Len Boon of Christie and Ray Oldham, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Oldham of Pine Valley, were married at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, June 22, at Sunset Point, Rev. G. W. Longenecker performing the rites.
The bride wore a floor-length gown with a train of white satin trimmed with lace and a head band. The bridesmaid, Genevieve Hagen, a sister of the groom, wore a floor-length gown of baby blue taffeta with pink and blue flowers at the neck of the dress. The groom wore a blue suit, and best man, Raymond Kalsow, of Globe, wore a navy blue suit, all wearing pink carnation corsages.
After the ceremony a dinner was served at the bride’s home, followed by a reception at Silver Dome.
