Bauman, Martha (1886? - 1939)

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hemp, Mrs. Albert Degener and Miss Clara Knoop attended the funeral of Mrs. Richard Bauman of Wausau Thursday, Mrs. J. H. Parish taking them over. Mrs. Bauman was the oldest daughter of the late Rev. H. Brandt, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church here for nearly 25 years. She was 53 years of age and was the mother of 17 children and 14 of whom are living.

She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Herman and Hans Brandt of Sturgeon Bay, Mrs. Agnes Bandel of Wausau, Mrs. Ida Nehls of Chicago; Mrs. Lydia Denning and Arnold Brandt of Pittsburgh, Pa., and the Rev. Fred Brandt of Appleton, all except the last two being present for the funeral.

Burial rites took place in the rural Lutheran church at Naugart, the church of which her father was pastor before he came to Neillsville, Wis.
