Benish, Theresa (14 Feb 1854 - 15 May 1925)
Mrs. Theresa Benish died about five o'clock last Friday afternoon, having never fully regained consciousness after a fall suffered at her home the preceding Tuesday just before the noon hour. Everything that medical aid could do was performed for the patient, and a nurse was in constant attendance, but she gradually failed until the hour when her spirit took its flight to the Great Beyond, aged 71 years, 3 mos., 1 day.
The remains were taken to Eau Claire to the home of her brother-in-law, Joseph Benish, and the funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 8:30 at the Sacred Heart church. Burial was in the cemetery beside her husband who died seventeen years ago-May 10, 1908.
Mrs. Benish was the mother of eight children: five daughters, Sister Emily, of La Crosse, Mrs. Bernard Seiger, of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Mary Babler, of this village, Mrs. Wm. Lubinski, and Miss Tillie at home; and three sons, Frank, John, and Joseph all of whom with her four grandchildren, were at her bedside at the time of her death.
