Wednesday forenoon at 9:30 o’clock at the M. E. parsonage at Merrillan, Rev. E. A. Weaver united in holy wedlock Mr. Claire Enerson and Miss Velma Finnegan, using the ring ceremony of the Methodist ritual. The bride and groom were accompanied by Miss Ruth Horrell and Mr. Vance Enerson. Following the ceremony and a drive to the photographic studio, the party returned to the home of the bride’s mother in Garden Valley, where an excellent wedding dinner was served. Chef Wetzel assisting, and only the immediate families being present.
The groom is the older son of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Enerson, farmers of North Branch, where the newlyweds will make their home. The bride of this happy event, is the only daughter of Mrs. Arnold Matti. She graduated from the local high school with the Class of 1930, afterwards attending Rusk normal.
For the nuptials the bride wore a pretty gown of green silk and carried white carnations and roses. Her bridesmaid wore brown and tan silk. The groom and best man were dressed in suits of dark blue.
The evening was devoted to a dancing party at Alma Center, with a special midnight supper at (rest of copy is cut off)
