Linnell, Hattie (22 Jan. 1863 - 15 Oct. 1931)

From Gresham (Ore.) Outlook: Mrs. Hattie Linnell, of Dubuque, Iowa, sister of Mrs. Laura Pickett, Mrs. Frank Tenney and Mrs. B. W. Emerey, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital Thursday morning, Oct 15. The funeral services were conducted at Gresham and interment was in Lincoln Memorial Park, Portland.

Mrs. Linnell was born at Hixton, Wis. January 22, 1863. With Mr. and Mrs. Tenney, and Mrs. Laura Pickett, she came Saturday October 10, to visit Mrs. Emery. She was taken sick Saturday afternoon and was rushed to the hospital Sunday morning where she died.

She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Richards, Dubuque, Iowa and Mrs. Mabel Hoyt, Minot, N. Dakota, besides eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and the three sisters, who were present at the funeral. She had many relatives and friends in the east who will be saddened hear of her death.

Mrs. Pickett writes that another sister, Mrs. Mary Murray, who lived at Ridgefield, Washington, died just a few days before they arrived at Gresham.

The five sisters were planning to be together at Gresham for a visit.
