Larson, Ruth (14 NOV 1910)
The friends of Oscar Johnson and Miss Ruth Larson were greatly surprised at the news of their marriage as it was heralded by their friends..
At the home of the groom’s sister, Mrs. Wm. Leffel, six miles west of the city of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), occurred the marriage of this estimable young couple. Unknown to relatives and friends they quietly slipped away and were married at that place to the surprise of those who knew them. The wedding was performed before a host of guests at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, Nov. 14, 1910, by Justice of the Peace, W.J. Brill of Colby.
Miss Larson is a young lady recently graduated from high school, and one who has been respected by her companions and seniors. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole M. Johnson who live a short distance north of this city. He has been an employee of the Greenwood Heading & Lumber Co. for several years past.
