Loos, Emma (5 AUG 1884 - 16 JUL 1912)
Emma Jacobina Loos was born Aug. 5, 1884 at Mormon Cooley, Wis. Later she attended the public schools and high school at Port Hope, Mich., and finished her studies at Heidelberg University, Tiffin, Ohio. For two years she taught modern languages at Bellevere College, Neb. Then she taught five years and four months in the public school of Cleveland, Ohio.
After contracting tuberculosis she was obliged to give up here work and come to Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), where her mother and relatives live. She died of this disease after reaching the age of 27 years, 11 months and 11 days on July 16, 1912.
Services were held at the home at 4 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. The body was taken to Cleveland, Ohio yesterday for burial.
