Walker, David John (18 May 1854 - 14 June 1932)

David John Walker, was born May 18,1854, and died at his home in the town of Foster, June 14,1932, at the age of 78 years, and 27 days.

He was born in Indiana, moving with his father to Fergus Falls, Minn., while yet a young boy. His mother died when he was nine days old and he made his home with an uncle until 18 years of age, then coming to Wisconsin, residing in and around Fairchild the remainder of his life, excepting a few years spent at Colfax.

Mr. Walker was united in marriage with Miss Emma Livermore, Oct. 17,1875. Unto them were born eight children, all of whom survive him. He leaves to mourn his death, his aged wife, six sons and two daughters: Charles, of White Salmon, Wash.; Mrs. Fred Ives, of Osseo; Wesley and Mrs. Geo. Fradenburgh, of Humbird; Theodore and Dewey, of Augusta; Cecil, of Altoona; and George, at home. He is also survived by two sisters, Miss Bessie Walker , of Portland, Oregon and Mrs. Henry Todd, of Sarona; and thirty seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the home on Thursday afternoon, June 16th , the Rev. Chas. G. Brown officiating. Burial was in the Augusta cemetery.
