Hagen, Genevieve (Marriage - 9 Aug. 1939)

Genevieve Hagen of Pine Valley Township and Raymond Kalsow of the Township of Weston, were united in marriage August nine at 2 o’clock p.m. at the Globe Lutheran Parsonage, the Rev. Adolph Schumann performing the double-ring ceremony, in the presence of seven witnesses. Misses Dolores and Hildegarde Schumann singing two songs.

The bride wore aqua blue taffeta, trimmed with salmon colored velvet and flowers and carried a bouquet of colored water lilies. The bridesmaids wee Miss Clara Kalsow, who wore pink marquisette and Miss Irma Dudei, dressed in light blue marquisette, each carrying a bouquet of mixed flowers. Harold Thoma and Marvin Grap acted as best man.

A wedding reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Kalsow of Globe, 60 guests being entertained at dinner, white, pink and blue crepe paper and flowers being the decoration.

The wedding cake was baked by Mrs. Hans Kalsow and the beautiful water lilies were given to the bride by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Klauer. Miss Dolores Schumann playing a march as the bride and groom took places at the table.

Guests in attendance at the reception and dinner were: Mr. and Mrs. Hans Kalsow and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Bradelow, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Sternitzky and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Oldham, Mr. and Mrs. William Oldham, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Klueckman, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Thoma, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gall, Mrs. Lena Scheel, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kalsow, Mr. and Mrs. Lebrecht Kalsow, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thoma and family, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Christopherson, Mr. and Mrs. Fredinand Grap, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Dudei and family, Martin Kalsow and son, Donald, Irvin Gall and Rev. and Mrs. Adolph Schumann and daughters.
