Schofield, Marie (7 DEC 1912 - 3 MAY 1939)
Marie Schofield, daughter of Roland and Sarah Scheel, was born Dec. 7, 1912 in the town of York (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at the Mount Washington Sanitarium, Eau Claire, Wis., Wednesday, May 3, 1939 at the age of 26 years, 4 months and 21 years.
She was baptized in the Lutheran Church in her infancy. On October 15, 19?? She was married to Robert J. Schofield. After her marriage she and her husband lived at Spencer, then they moved to a farm about 11 miles northwest of Greenwood, in the town of Mead, and have lived there since.
Mrs. Schofield has been in poor health for about a year and we taken to the sanitarium two weeks ago, where she passed away Wednesday, May 3, 1939, of pneumonia.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Florence, who will be 7 years old in June, her father, Robert Scheel, two sisters, Julia and Edna, brothers Ray and Donald, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church, Greenwood, at 2:00 p.m., May 5, 1939, Rev. C.R. Gaylord officiated. The body was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
The Pallbearers were Ernest Sirey, Raymond Strey, Russel Houpt, Joe Raymond Millen, Charles Krapf.
