Tyznik, Edwin D. (June 12, 1959 - October 26, 2006)
Edwin D. Tyznik, age 47, of Lublin, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Memorial Nursing home in Medford under the care of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc.
Funeral services were held on Monday, October 30, 2006 at noon at the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Apfelbeck officiating. Burial followed services at Holy Trinity Ukranian Cemetery, rural Thorp. Pallbearers were John Mendez, Chuck Szemraj, Jeff Person, Ron Isola, Mike Stokosa, and Ed Baker.
Visitation was held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Edwin Dale Tyznik was born on June 12, 1959 in Stanley, WI to Walter and Katherine (Hahn) Tyznik, Sr. he was educated at area schools and graduated from Gilman High School in 1977. Over the years, Dale held several jobs but mostly helped his brothers on the family dairy farm. He enjoyed being with people, was a handyman for many neighbors and friends, and really had a great sense of humor. In his spare time, Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his mother, Katherine Tyznik of Medford; six brothers: Walter Tyznik of Lublin, Roy (Noreen) Tyznik of Thorp, Harold Tyznik of Lublin, Carl (Lisa) Tyznik or Medford, Chris (Karen) Tyznik of Thorp, and George Tyznik of Medford; four sisters: Kathy Tyznik of Thorp, Nettie (Bob Leonhardt) Nayes of Stratford, Nancy (Phil) Chmielowiec of Ladysmith, and Tammy Park of Withee. He is further survived by his special friends: John and Jamie Mendez of Lublin and Chuck Szemraj of Thorp, and aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Tyznik, Sr., one brother, Raymond Tyznik in infancy, and one infant daughter.
Thorp Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
