Reigel, Margaret (10 JAN 1862 - 5 JAN 1935)

Mrs. Margaret Reigel, 73, of Marshfield, Wis., mother of Henry Reigel of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), died at her home Saturday afternoon of pneumonia. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. John’s Catholic Church at Marshfield.

Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1925.

Mrs. Reigel, nee Goeres, was born in Chilton, Wis., Jan. 10, 1862. When she was 16 years old her parents moved to Marshfield, locating on a small farm.

In 1881 she was married to Joseph Reigel. Ten children were born to them, of which the following survive: Frank, Milwaukee; Henry, Owen; Joseph, town of Rock; Fred, at home; Bill, town of Lincoln; Margaret, at home; and Della, Mrs. Joe Huguet, Green Bay.

One brother, Henry Goeres of Marshfield, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Sonabend, Arlington, Wash., also survive. There are 15 grandchildren.

Since coming from Chilton, Mrs. Reigel had lived in Marshfield and vicinity, with the exception of three years spent in Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.).
