Stewart, Huldah (12 APR 1856 - 5 APR 1935)

Huldah Ferree was born April 12, 1856 in Mahaska Co., Iowa. At the age of 16, in the year 1872, she was married to Charlie Benson. To this union two children were born, a boy which died in infancy, and a girl who died at the age of 16.

At the age of 30, in August 1886, she was married to Richard Stewart. To this union were born eight children, two of who died in infancy, and one, Bessie Curry, later.

Mrs. Stewart passed away April 5, 1935, at the age of 78 year, 11 months and 23 days, at the Chippewa Falls Hospital. Funeral service was held at the Congregational Chapel at Longwood Monday, April 8, at 2 p.m. W.P. Powell conducted the service. Interment was made at Riverside Cemetery.

She leaves to mourn her death, one brother, Isaac Ferree of Norway Ridge; five children, Mrs. James Day of Williamsburg, Ia., Mrs. David Grissom of Hedrick, Ia., Charles of Oskalossa, Ia., Frank of Thorp and Guy of Withee; and 19 grandchildren.
