From Chippewa Falls comes report of the burning Wednesday afternoon of the farm home of Mark Russell, with a loss of $6000. Very little of the household belongings were saved. The cause of the fire is unknown. The farm formerly belonged to Mrs. Russell’s father, Wm. Richardson and the house was one of the landmarks in that vicinity.

Our old friend, Phil Giloy, sends an invitation to come out and visit him while Nature has on its best togs: "Mrs. Giloy and two small children left Monday afternoon for Loyal to spend her vacation with her two daughters, Mrs. J. O. Mueller and Mrs. M. Fischer. She will also visit her two sons who are employed in that neighborhood. Mrs. Mueller is wearing a big smile nowadays, In a big contest at Loyal last Saturday night she came out first with a fine Plymouth sedan as her reward. No wonder the smile! Only ladies could enter the contest, and with the help of her husband and friends she was able to carry off the prize!
