Miss Gladys Michael was home from St. Paul Saturday and Sunday. She was accompanied by Miss Evelyn Anderson, who is a nurse in the hospital, where Miss Michael is supervisor.
The Ladies Aid Society will hold a baked food sale and also serve a lunch this Saturday afternoon at A. W. Short’s store, starting at 2:00 o’clock.
Supt. C. D. Stockwell, of the Omaha Ry. Has written this office regarding express service, and assures us that night and morning services will be had hereafter. All express must be billed out before 6:00 p.m.
I. C. Sobezak (Sobcyak)and family spent Wednesday in Eau Claire and Altoona.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Bollom and family were over from Neillsville Sunday to spend the day at the homes of relatives.
Dr. Hein Coming
Dr. Hein, eyesight specialist, will be at Humbird Tuesday a. m. Dec 22. Those wishing their eyes examined or glasses fitted kindly make appointments with Mr. or Mrs. R. A. Creviston. Dr. Hein’s prices are very reasonable. He can save you 25% on your glasses.
C. A. Hizer drove down from Fairchild last Saturday on a business trip. He came very near to an accident on the way from ice on the windshield, but the only casualty was a painful bump on the head received by Mr. Hizer when the car left the highway.
