Miss Martha Klein, 381 Nassau St. Menasha, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Klein, Greenwood, Wis., became the bride of Phillip Schanke, son of Mrs. Herbert Stielow, 409 Fourth street, Neenah, at 4 o’clock last Tuesday in St. Paul English Lutheran church Neenah. Rev. Richard W. Roth performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a wine velvet dress with shoulder length veil and carried a church service book. Her bridesmaid, Miss Angeline Stammer, Jefferson, Wis., wore dark green velvet and carried a bouquet of wine and white pompoms. Walter Schanke, Chicago, brother of the groom, was best man.
A wedding supper was served after the ceremony in the church parlors to 25 guests were Mr. and Mrs. George Klein, and Earl, George, Jr., and Florence Klein, Greenwood; Walter Klein, Davenport, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ampe, Washington, Kans., and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hoeper, Chicago.
After a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Schanke will reside at 409 ½ Fourth street, Neenah, where they will be at home to their friends after Sunday. They have been employed in the Lakeview plant of the Kimberly-Clark corporation.
The Tribune joins with the many friends of the newlyweds in wishing them a long and happy wedded life.
