Buchsteiner, Milda M. (Marriage - *20 Aug. 1939) * Could be off.

St. John’s Lutheran Church was the scene of a pretty wedding at eleven o’clock last Sunday, directly after the morning service, when Miss Milda M. Buchsteiner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Buchsteiner, of this city, was united in marriage with Orland W. Boyce, Marshfield; son of Mrs. Helen Gates of Greenwood. Rev. William A. Baumann was the officiating clergyman, the double ring ceremony being used. The church was decorated with flowers, and blue, yellow, rose and white streamers and a wedding bell were the home decorations.

The bride wore a white taffeta dress with train and finger-tip-veil and carried an arm bouquet of white and mixed gladioli. Miss Avis Haglund of St. Paul, as maid of honor, wore a yellow taffeta gown, with full skirt, puffed sleeves and a bolero jacket. The skirt was trimmed with blue ribbon. A corsage of rosebuds served as her flowers.

Miss Lorraine Buschsteiner, wearing rose taffeta, trimmed with blue ribbon, and Miss Ione Dahnert, gowned in blue taffeta, with pink ribbon trimming, were bridesmaids. Their gowns were styled like the dress worn by the maid of honor. Rosebud corsages were worn at the neck of the dresses.

John Boyce of Greenwood acted as best man, and William Buchsteiner, Reedsburg, and Arnold Lewerenz, Neillsville, were ushers.

The bride’s mother wore a white dress and accessories, while the groom’s m other wore an orchid dress with white accessories.

Luncheon was served at *Lewerence Sweet Shop to 25 guests, the table decorations being a white wedding cake and flowers. Sixteen guests were served at a dinner at the home of the bride’s parents that evening.

The bride is a graduate of the Greenwood High School and of Lawrence Academy of Beauty Culture, Minneapolis. For a time she worked at her profession at Marshfield and later came to Neillsville to work as a waitress at the Merchants hotel. For the past year she has been a waitress at the *Lewerenz Sweet Shop. Her winsome and charming personality have won her a large circle of friends, and these fine traits combined with her ability along domestic lines will add much toward the building of a happy home. Mr. Boyce received his education at Greenwood and worked there for a time, later going to Marshfield where he is employed at present at the Joe Lite Night Club.

The couple left on a wedding trip Monday evening. For her going away outfit the bride chose a rose wool suit with navy blue and white accessories. They will be at home after September 1 at Marshfield, Wis.

Out of town relatives and friends were: Mrs. Anna Fehrm, Miss Arlene Fehrm and Marilyn Fehrm, Miss Audrey Granze and Mrs. Will Siebert, all of Darlen, Wis.; Mrs. C. Blake and Miss Mildred Blake, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. E. Haglund, St. Paul; Mrs. C. Roloff and William Buchsteiner of Reedsburg.
